Hanlan's Point Clothing Optional Beach is one of the most popular—and famous—clothing-optional beaches in North America, and certainly one of the best gay beaches in Canada.

The beach itself offers few amenities, but is packed with hundreds of people on good weekends.  The water is pretty clean and safe for swimming, and there is a lifeguard supervising part of the beach.  By August the water has warmed enough to be comfortable even for non-Canadians.

Beaconia Beach is a very popular summer spot for gay nudists. It consists of a beautiful stretch of sand, dunes and trees located on the southeastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, just north of Patricia Beach. There is absolutely no commercial influence.

In the summer of 1999 a court ruling made it legal to be nude on the beach. This was challenged by a small group and considerable tensions arose. However, the opposing constituents lost their battle and during the summer of 2000 all was back to normal and nudity on the beach abounds.
